Rings a bell.

La entrada de hoy no tiene que ver ni con timbres ni con campanas (bell). Viene bien sencillito. If something rings a bell, it sounds familiar. Me suena.

1) A: Have you met my friend Jane?
         ¿Conociste a mi amiga Juana?
B: The name rings a bell, but I don't remember. Was she here for your birthday?
El nombre me suena, pero no me acuerdo. ¿Vino a tu cumpleaños?

2) A: Have you watched Life of Pi?
         ¿Viste La vida de Pi?
B: It rings a bell but I'm not sure. What is it about?
Me suena, pero no sé si la vi. ¿De qué se trata?

3) A: Somebody called you.
          Te llamó alguien.
     B: Who was it?
          ¿Quién era?
     A: Uh... Ana? Hanna? Lara?
          Em... ¿Ana? ¿Hanna? ¿Lara?
B: Those names don't even ring a bell. You need to start writing down messages.
Esos nombres ni siquiera me suenan. Tenés que empezar a anotar los mensajes.

¿Cómo traducirían el siguiente diálogo que va con la foto de arriba?

A: Does the picture remind you of something?

B: It definitely rings a bell...
