Hoy, el clima no nos inspira para mucho más. La expresión del día es It's raining cats and dogs, que es el equivalente de nuestro "Llueve a cántaros".
Otras maneras de hablar de lluvia fuerte son downpour (pronunciación: /ˈdaʊnpɔːʳ/) y shower (igual que "ducha"). Veámoslos en uso:
1) Take the raincoat and your hat! It's a downpour out there!
¡Llevate el piloto y el sombrero! ¡Está diluviando!
2) The weather forecast says there will be showers today.
Según el pronóstico del tiempo, habrá lluvias fuertes.
Ahí tienen también cómo se dice "pronóstico del tiempo" = weather forecast.
¿Y "llovizna"? drizzle ( /ˈdrɪzl/)
